The builder

Ken Burridge

Builder of Everything Space — an iOS app and this website, built to one standard

Ken Burridge builds Everything Space: a spaceflight product that runs as an iOS app and as this website, sharing one backend and one rule — every number is sourced or labeled computed, and nothing is invented to fill a gap.

What He Built

All of it checkable from this site

A live observatory

The front page renders Earth from real data — the actual solar terminator computed from the Sun's position, the ISS where it is right now, and a marker on the pad the next launch flies from.

The Classroom — 46 original lessons across 8 tracks

Written from scratch: rocketry, the night sky, the Solar System, deep space, the Space Age, life in orbit, a track for children, and how missions actually get funded and licensed. Every figure is a standard reference value; approximations are marked as approximations.

An atlas of 53 subjects and 7 curated collections

Worlds, missions, machines and the labeled relationships between them — each entry with verified facts, real photography, and a citation block.

Mission Reports

Original reporting on flights that have already launched, assembled from the flight record: booster serial and flight number, where it landed and how far downrange, how the launch window actually ran.

A community that never fabricates activity

Real accounts shared with the app, real vote and reply counts, and an editorial pipeline that opens a discussion thread for every confirmed launch — disclosing in the post that it was opened automatically.

The Rule Everything Is Built To

Most of the decisions in this product are refusals. Everything Space does not invent engagement numbers, does not claim other publishers’ reporting as its own, does not fill an empty state with something plausible, and does not round a figure it cannot source. When a feed is unreachable, the page says so instead of showing yesterday’s data as though it were live. When an article belongs to its publisher, the page says that too, and sends the reader onward.

The full accounting of sources, and the list of things this site refuses to fake, is on About & Sources.
